Für wen ist die Salztherapie von Nutzen?
Salt therapy, General Health & respiratory concerns
Only very tiny salt particles are able to penetrate further from the nose and deep into the respiratory tract. Currently, the salt therapy research holds that these particles must be within the range of 2-5 μm. The newer research shows that the particles which are smaller than 2 μm have even better chance of entering the respiratory tract. Tests done with IIRIS halogenerators show that mainly, they emit the particles which are in the range of 0,3 – 10 μm. Salt aerosol concentration is also important. Salt has to be administered in low concentrations so that it will not have irritating effects.
What other effects the dry salt aerosol has on general health and breathing?
- It has re-hydrating effects (it restores the balance between the electrolytes and the humidity) and it removes excessive fluid from the walls of the bronchi
- It blocks the excessive growth of bacteria (salt has anti-bacterial effects) and supports the natural balance of bacteria (biocenosis)
- It stimulates the osmosis which means that it has positive effects on a body as a whole, including the immune system and metabolism
- It has anti-inflammatory effects
Salt therapy & Skin
The particles of NaCl are excellent also for the skin and hair giving them cosmetic effects as well as recovery. The microscopic salt aerosol decreases inflammation, normalises the pH level and induces the skin recovery. All lotions and body creams will have double effects after salt therapy sessions.
Who can benefit from salt therapy? How often?
Salt therapy can be used by people of all ages. It can be used at home or in public salt rooms. It is recommended to take 20-40 minute sessions per day or as a cycle of 14 sessions. Cycles can be repeated 2-3 times a year, depending on necessity.
